If you are spiritually searching, Providence may be the right church for you. Unlike most other faith communities, Providence diligently teaches about the spiritual world which not only prepares you for the life to come. Since you will have access to considerably more information, it also helps you to be more successful during your physical life. In the process of becoming spiritually more awake, you will develop a connection with God and Jesus, that goes far beyond a son/daughter relationship. We strive to become Christ's brides.
Closeness to God and Jesus requires a lot of hard work and dedication, but it is worth it!

Providence was founded by a mystic, Jeong Myeong-seok. Mystics (see below) are people who do not seek an intellectual but rather an experiential understanding of God. Through spiritual experiences they want to understand Jesus’ commands by having them written on their own hearts. Mystics want to feel how Jesus feels when he sees so many people in the world rejecting him, persecuting him, and crucifying him all over again. Famous mystics include Hildegard von Bingen, Meister Eckhart, and Julian of Norwich.
As a mystic, Jeong Myeong-seok is able to give sermons based on divine inspiration rather than intellectual study of the Bible.
Mystics are suspect to organized religion, because they attempt to reach God directly without going through established churches. Their teachings are usually not approved by church hierarchies until they are “safely dead” (1).
Having been founded by a mystic, Providence seeks to teach its members how to become “little mystics.”
There is probably no other Christian church where such a high percentage of the regular membership gets so close to Jesus’ simjeong. “Simjeong” (심정) is a word used in many Asian languages describing the deep level of connection two lovers have, who always know what the other one wants without having to talk about it. The closest translation into a Western language would be “deep felt heart.” Members say that of all the churches they have ever visited, Providence has given them the most authentic experience of Jesus.
But getting to that level is not easy (kid you not).
If you think you may get inspired by such a committed group of Christians, come check us out.
If you are looking for a Christian community where you can grow spiritually without bounds while not having to join a religious order, and to keep doing what you are doing in your career, and continue to lead a “normal” life, Providence may be for you. Providence is the best place to prepare for the Second Coming, which may be imminent.
If you are getting overwhelmed just by reading about what a large part of Providence’s membership does, you might want to visit us anyway. A famous theologian once said, “If you know one religion, you know no religion.” What we can guarantee you is that even a fleeting exposure to Providence will open your mind in unexpected ways. Jeong Myeong-seok, craving to be taught by Jesus directly, read the Bible over 1000 times while praying in the mountains and living in caves. What resulted were realizations which might amaze you.

Richard Rohr might have given the clearest and most poignant description (2):
"Mysticism ... is the knowledge of God through experience. It is not head knowledge but heart knowledge, not intellectual comprehension but intuitive comprehension, not logical understanding but emotional understanding. It is the kind of awareness that develops between close friends, when one can tell almost instinctively what the other is thinking or feeling [(3)]. Through their long hours of prayer, experiencing the presence of God, mystics develop that same kind of sensitive awareness to what the Lord wants of them."
"When mystics write about their experience of God, they speak a very different language from theology and doctrine. They speak what can best be called religious poetry, a language of symbolism and imagery and feeling. Ordinary words cannot describe what they are experiencing, so mystics stretch the meaning of words beyond their ordinary usage. Needless to say, when they do this they often are misunderstood by those who do not have such experiences themselves. They have even sometimes been condemned as heretics because they did not use theological language 'correctly.' "
"For this reason, although some mystics have been canonized as saints, many more have not."
...
"Pierre Teilhard de Chardin was a Jesuit priest and scientist, a poet and mystic who lived in our own century. Since he wrote about evolution before most church people had accepted that idea, he got in trouble with the hierarchy. Most of his works were not published until after his death. When we read them we can see how his mystical intuition blended religion and science, poetry and reason."
...
"Mystics are a special gift to the Church because they show us how far we can go in prayer, or rather, how far God will take us if we allow ourselves to be led in prayer. They are the heroes and heroines of the prayer dimension of the Christian life, for they courageously open themselves to the fullest human experience of God."
This is about the best description of Jeong Myeong Seok I have ever read.
